A fresh, imaginative take on Marin Sorescu’s revisionist examination of one of Middle Age’s most enigmatic heroes, ‘Vlad the Impaler’, staged by intrepid theatre veterans Faynia Williams and Richard Crane, opened in Glasgow at the famous A Play, A Pie and A Pint on 27 April before a stint in the Brighton Fringe Festival between 5-10 May. Romanian visual practices feature robustly at the 2015 edition of Art15 Global Art Fair, one of London’s most exciting art feasts. AnnArt Gallery in Bucharest is showcasing works by sculptor Virgil Scripcariu, the daring carver of pertinent contemporary symbols, while the PostModernism Museum Bucharest examines the early works of avant-garde artist Hedda Sterne, who was born and lived in Romania between 1910 and 1941 before moving to the United States.  MORE
